Description
Peony Hélène Martin is a sparsely branching deciduous plant and a standout in any garden. It boasts finely dissected, deep green leaves that emerge flushed with red in the spring. In late spring to early summer, it produces very large, cream-colored flowers with a faint pink blush and small, dark pink flares at the base of each petal. This hybrid, a cross with P. potanini Trolliodes, is one of the most beautiful modern tree peony hybrids. The blooms, which range from single to semi-double, are a soft cream with the faintest hint of pink. Each petal features a delicate red-pink flare at the center, complemented by reddish-pink stamens. The plant forms a robust, multi-stemmed structure with finely cut foliage that is tinged red in the spring.
