Sidalcea (Prairie Mallow)

Sidalcea, also known as Prairie Mallow, is a charming perennial that brings soft, cottage garden beauty to early and midsummer. Its upright stems carry rows of open, cup shaped flowers in shades of rose pink, raspberry, or soft white. The blooms resemble miniature hollyhocks, but on a more graceful, compact plant that fits beautifully into borders of any size.  This plant thrives in full sun or light shade and enjoys well drained soil.
