Trollius (Globeflower)
Also known as globeflowers, Trollius are moisture-loving perennials prized for their bright, buttercup-like blooms in shades of cream, gold, and orange. Thriving in damp soil, pond edges, and bog gardens, they bring cheerful color to the late spring and early summer garden while standing up to deer, rabbits, and heavy or clay soils. Deeply divided, glossy green foliage sets off the globe-shaped flowers beautifully, and many varieties make long-lasting cut flowers that also attract bees and butterflies. Easy to grow once established, Trollius reward very little effort with years of dependable color, perfect for anyone with a consistently moist spot that other perennials struggle to fill.
