Description
If you want something a little different from the usual full dahlias, Dahlia ‘Alyshia’ stands out right away. This variety belongs to the anemone-flowered dahlia group, which means it has a distinct look. Instead of a fully packed bloom, you get a ring of flat outer petals surrounding a raised, cushion-like center made of small tubular florets. That center gives the flower depth and texture without making it feel heavy.
The color sits in soft pink tones with warmer hints of coral, while the center often appears slightly deeper or more saturated. It’s subtle, but it gives the flower a lot of character.
What makes ‘Alyshia’ stand out:
Anemone-flowered form
A single outer ring of petals with a textured, raised center, lighter and more open than decorative dahlias
Soft pink with coral warmth
A gentle blend of pink and warm tones that works easily in most color palettes
Textured central cushion
The dense, tufted center adds contrast and draws attention without overpowering
Strong stems for cutting
Holds well in the garden and performs nicely in arrangements
Long flowering season
Blooms from midsummer until frost with regular cutting
Planting information
- Dig a hole to the required depth. You can find this required depth for each type of bulb, tuber or root in the growing guides.
- Depth is measurement of space between the soil line and top of bulb or bare root.
- Set the bulbs or bare root in place, pointed side or sprout side upward.
- Cover the bulbs by replacing the soil and water thoroughly.
